The Climate of Bulgaria. Marked by four distinct seasons, Bulgaria enjoys a generally favourable climate that is one of the country's best features. Summers are typically hot and dry, but rarely oppressive, with moderate relative humidity. Winters are cold but not bitterly so.
Sofia's climate is one of its main attributes with average daytime highs of 28c in July and August and 3c from December to February. The Black Sea moderates temperatures in the east of the country, with average temperatures of 27c and more than 300 hours of sunshine per annum, Mediterranean influences temper the harsher winter continental climate of the interior. The country’s half-dozen mountain groups also play a significant part in determining regional variances. Rainfall is highest in the mountains and in winter there are excellent snow conditions for winter sports.

PAMPOROVO welcomes you all year round. |

Welcome
to the beautiful and hospitable Rhodope Mountains. Since ancient
times they have been a source of legends and stories told through
the centuries. This is the cradle of the mythical singer Orpheus.
Here was born the song which, together with Beethoven’s 9th
Symphony, flies through space, looking for contact with alien
intelligence. Magnificient pine forests, green meadows and mountain
peaks bathed in sunlight – these are the incredible Rhodope
Mountains you will never forget. Not will you forget the Rhodope the
Rhodope people – their hospitality and the delicious dishes they
will make especially for you. The mountain people will meet you with
open arms, will sing you the songs they grew up with, and will say
goodbye to you as though you were their best friend.“
The one that sings bears no evil” is an old Bulgarian proverb. And
all the Rhodope’s people sing – that is why goodness, peace and
tranquility is in their souls. Pamporovo,
the pearl of the Bulgarian mountain resorts, nests in the heart of
the Rhodopes, 260 km from the capital Sofia, and 85 km south of the
city of Plovdiv.

Typical of this region is that nature does not change its moods
abruptly, there is no danger of avalanche, and that guarantees the
tranquility and safety of your vacation. If you cannot ski, this is
not a tragedy, the ski-school in Pamporovo is one of the best in
Europe. Highly qualified instructors, speaking at least two foreign
languages, train the beginners, in groups or individually.
Specialists will help you to make the snow-board a part of your
body. The
Pamporovo resort is recommended by the experts as a good place both
for the beginners and for experienced skiers. The mountain with its
